The Law And Leadership Institute Aids HS Seniors Wanting A Career In Law

Provided

High school students from underserved areas who are interested in future careers in law can benefit from the Law and Leadership Institute, LLC (LLI). The statewide nonprofit initiative is a four-year academic program in law, leadership, analytical thinking, problem solving, writing skills and professionalism.

LLI collaborates with organizations in the legal community, such as the Ohio State Bar Association, and has served more than 350 high school students on eight law school campuses across Ohio.

Joining us to discuss how this nonprofit program is making a difference in the community, particularly among African-American students, is former attorney, board president and CEO of LLI, SteveJemison, along with LLI Executive Director Heather Creed and assistant director of the Center for Professional Development at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Diane Cross.
