President Biden set a goal to vaccinate 70% of the eligible U.S. population by July 4th, but the country will fall well short of that number. Our local states will not hit that mark either. So how are local counties doing with vaccination campaigns and what is a more reasonable goal for our region? And with the Delta variant rapidly spreading across the globe there are renewed concerns in parts of the United States. Health Officials in Los Angeles County on Monday began recommending indoor masking. But will we see renewed concerns in the Tri-state area?
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss local vaccination efforts are Hamilton County Public Health Commissioner Greg Kesterman; and Northern Kentucky Health Department Interim Director Steve Divine.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
