WPAFB details sequester cuts

Following Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel's announcement that civilian furloughs have been reduced from 14 days to 11, officials at Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton are outlining their plans for dealing with sequester cuts.

In an email to WVXU, Public Affairs Specialist Ted Theopolos writes:

Wright-Patt anticipates furloughs beginning in early July, running through the end of September. Employees will be issued a 30-day notice prior to furloughs beginning. This is certainly better news for our civilian employees. The base will continue to keep our people updated in the days, weeks and months ahead.
