Patrick Duhaney was sworn in as the City Manager of Cincinnati on December 12. Nominated for the position by Mayor John Cranley, Duhaney was confirmed as City Manager by a unanimous vote by City Council.

Duhaney was assistant city manager when then-City Manager Harry Black resigned in April 2018, after a public feud with the mayor. Council appointed Duhaney acting city manager, a position he held for eight months. He began his career with the city in 2009, as contract compliance officer with the City Manager's Office.

Cincinnati City Manager Patrick Duhaney joins Cincinnati Edition to discuss how he plans to work with the mayor, council and local leaders to take advantage of the opportunities presented to, and meet the challenges facing, the city.
