This week on The Blues, Saturday, September 28th at 11pm, the show starts off with a song from Wynton Marsalis's "The Midnight Blues: Standard Time, Vol.5" release. The set also includes Nina Simone and Cincinnati favorite Jimmy McGary. The second set has songs from Chet Baker, Diana Krall, and the Monty Alexander Trio from their Live! at the Montreux Festival set from 1977. And, the show ends with songs by Ruth Brown, Miles Davis, Ernestine Anderson, and Billie Holiday.
