Campaign Launches to Spay/Neuter Local Stray Cats

(provided)

The spaying and neutering of stray or "community" cats is the focus of a new campaign by Cincinnati-based the Ten Movement.

The goal of the program, dubbed "Mild Kingdom", is to spay, neuter and vaccinate to keep the stray cat population from growing.

Scooter the Neutered Cat, who became a viral sensation in 2014 with his catchy theme song, is back with a message: join him on the expedition to help cats in our community.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to talk about the program are the Ten Movement Chairwoman Deborah Cribbs and Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Director Thane Maynard.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
