Carson School Students Build Little Pantry To Help Feed Its Community

Provided

Students at Carson School in West Price Hill saw a need in their community and stepped in to help. Teacher Stacey Jones says her students worked with Turner Construction to build a "little pantry" in front of the school to feed the community.

The pantry, which is blue and yellow and features the school's cougar mascot, is stocked with non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. A sign hanging below the pantry says "Welcome to the Paws for a Cause Little Pantry." Jones says her students were concerned that there aren't enough grocery stores in the neighborhood of West Price Hill.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the little pantry areCarson School K-3 multi-disability teacher Stacey Jones; and Third Grade Student Aiden.
