Cincinnati Council Wednesday approved small donations to a few nonprofit organizations using extra funds from Council Member Chris Seelbach's office.

"My administrative director left several months ago, and given how late we are in the term we're not going to replace her," Seelbach said. "So I'm donating her salary to three organizations."

The appropriation gives $2,500 each to:

  • Lighthouse Youth Services' "Safe and Supported" program for homeless LGBTQ+ young people
  • Cincinnati Union Bethel's "Off the Streets" program for women dealing with addiction and human trafficking
  • Queen City Bulldog Rescue

Council approved the appropriations unanimously.
