The COVID-19 has impacted lives and businesses in both negative and, surprisingly, positive ways. The housing market is booming with prices up 8.1 percent in July. In many areas, inventory is low so houses hitting the market are often sold with days or even hours. Meanwhile the number of affordable homes for low and even middle-income buyers is shrinking.
During this hour, Cincinnati Edition will look at different aspects of the current housing market in our area, including the repercussions of the boom, the struggle for low and middle-income buyers to find homes in their price range, the current state of interest rates and mortgages, and what buyers and sellers should know before entering the real estate market.
Joining Cincinnati Edition are Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors President Kelly Meyer; Coldwell Banker West Shell Realtor Melissa Brown ; Guaranteed Rate Affinity Regional Manager Steve Alcorn; Coldwell Banker West Shell Director of Operations and Broker of Record Sue Besl Price; and USA Mortgage Sales Manager Jonathan Barber.
Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
