Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.

For more than 50 years, Dayton, Ohio, native Bob Crotty curated a remarkable collection of baseball memorabilia. The items filled the Green Diamond Gallery in Montgomery, a private museum and club that opened in 2007.

That local landmark for baseball fans shuttered last month, and now Crotty's impressive collection is headed to auction.

Hunt Auctions, which is facilitating the auction in Louisville starting Nov. 9, calls the Green Diamond's collection "an extremely comprehensive grouping" that features more than 100 Hall of Fame jerseys, bats used in baseball games, thousands of autographs and more.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to talk about the collection and the auction is Hunt Auctions President Dave Hunt.
