Union Institute & University is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the school began in 1964 when ten college presidents met to form a consortium, The Union for Research and Experimentation in Higher Education. The university pioneered many of the concepts now common in higher education, including distance education, individualized self-paced programs, and an abiding commitment to adults seeking transformative education. We take a look at some of the history of the university, and it’s approach to adult learning, with Union Institute & University President, Dr. Roger H.
