This week's blues show at 11pm on Saturday, February 16th starts with a song by Tony Joe White with some help from Michael McDonald.  Michael McDonald's touring with Chaka Khan this summer and will be in Columbus July 4th.

The rest of the first set of the show includes music by Eric Lindell on Alligator Records and Kevin Burt.  Jon Cleary's song, "21st Century Gypsy Singing Lover Man," is also included.  Cleary will be playing the Savannah Music Festival March 30th and will also be at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival May 5th.

On this week's blues show on Saturday, January 12th at 11pm, you'll hear three sets of music starting off with Ernestine Anderson (who passed away in Seattle in March, 2016) in the first set along with Jeff Beck, Cyndi Lauper, and Tom Waits from his "The Heart of Saturday Night" cd.

We're coming up on the 91st anniversary of the birth of blues vocalist Big Maybelle, May 1st, 1924, who lived in Cincinnati during her career and recorded at King Records.  Through the research of music historian, Dave Lewis, you'll hear the story of her career until her death on January 23, 1972 in Cleveland and also lots of her music.
