The Blues: 2.16.19 show

This week's blues show at 11pm on Saturday, February 16th starts with a song by Tony Joe White with some help from Michael McDonald.  Michael McDonald's touring with Chaka Khan this summer and will be in Columbus July 4th.

The rest of the first set of the show includes music by Eric Lindell on Alligator Records and Kevin Burt.  Jon Cleary's song, "21st Century Gypsy Singing Lover Man," is also included.  Cleary will be playing the Savannah Music Festival March 30th and will also be at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival May 5th.

The second set features the Inner City Blues Band from Columbus, Ohio; Robert Finley; Cliff Grant and ends with a song by Joe Louis Walker/Bruce Katz/Giles Robson from their 2018 Alligator release, "Journeys to the Heart of the Blues."  Robert Finley is from a small town in Lousiana and was discovered by the Music Maker Relief Foundation which helps elderly musicians in need share their music with the world.  And this edition of The Blues ends with the Jeff Beck Group, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and a fun song by Allan Thomas, "Geezer Talk (Baby Boomer Blues)."
