MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred will serve as grand marshal of the 100th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade this March 28.

The team announced the news on Twitter Tuesday, the same day Major League Baseball announced that all club jerseys will wear "MLB 150" patches to mark the 150th anniversary of the first professional baseball team - the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings. However, as the first openly all-salaried team in baseball, the Reds uniforms will feature their own commemorative patches.

"The MLB 150 patch will be a continuous reminder on the field of the link everyone involved in the game today has with the storied history of professional baseball and MLB," Manfred said in a statement.

The Reds will also honor the occasion by wearing 15 throwback uniforms throughout the season and have various events scheduled for fans to further mark the anniversary.

The Reds home opener is Thursday, March 28 at 4:10 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
