Small Market Gardening As A Career
Through use of trellising, raised beds and other methods, you can dramatically increase your fruit and vegetable garden production.

More people are growing their own fruits, vegetables and herbs to provide their families with a steady supply of fresh foods. But some backyard gardeners often find they have an over-abundance of produce. And many of them are discovering the value of small market gardening as an extra source of income, or even as a career.

Joining us to discuss small market gardening and to answer your horticulture questions are Carriage House Farm Garden Manager Kate Cook; Crop Production Manager at Turner Farm, Megan Gambrill; and from the Campbell County Extension Office, Horticulture Agent Sarah Stolz and Agriculture Agent Don Sorrell.

Carriage House Farm will be hosting a series of on-farm dinners from now and into November. Each dinner will reflect the personality of the chef in charge and the seasonality of the ingredients available on the farm. Thirteen guests will enjoy an intimate meal of multiple courses on Carriage House Farm’s open-air dining terrace. For more information click here.
