In 1983, when President Ronald Reagan designated November as National Alzheimer?'s Disease Awareness Month, fewer than 2 million Americans had Alzheimer?'s. Today, that number has soared to more than 5.3 million. Alzheimer's is a dreadful disease, which takes a terrible toll on its victims, their families and their caregivers.
