The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday reaffirmed abortion protections by striking down a Louisiana abortion restriction. The decision found Louisiana's requirement that doctors providing abortions have admitting privileges to nearby hospitals was unconstitutional.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the ruling are University of California Irvine School of Law Center for Biotechnology & Global Health Policy Director and Chancellor's Professor Michele Goodwin, Ph.D. Dr. Goodwin is the author of Policing the Womb: Invisible Women and the Criminalization of Motherhood. Also joining the program is Florida State University Stearns Weaver Miller Professor and Legal Historian Mary Ziegler. She is the author of Abortion and the Law in America: Roe v. Wade to the Present.
