Attorney Steve Goodin was sworn into Cincinnati City Council last week. He temporarily replaces suspended Republican Council Member Jeff Pastor, who faces federal bribery charges.
Pastor is one of just three Cincinnati council members this year to be accused in a pay-to-play scheme. Former Council Member Tamaya Dennard was sentenced in November. Council Member P.G. Sittenfeld agreed to temporarily step down from council on Monday.
In a brief statement after he was sworn in, Goodin said, "The matters that I believe face this council are not matters of right or left, they're matters of right and wrong.”
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss why he accepted the appointment and his plans on council is Interim Cincinnati Council Member and Graydon Attorney Steve Goodin.
