Drive to save Muddy Waters' Chicago home

I got an email this morning from the Morganfield Foundation in Chicago.  The group was established to try to save legendary bluesman Muddy Waters’ home on the South Side of Chicago.  The home’s located at 4339 S. Lake Park Avenue in Chicago, and the historical significance of the home is what’s the driving force  to raise the funds necessary to save the building.

From the website of the Morganfield Foundation: “Our goal in Phase I is to raise $120,000.00 in the next 90 days, by July 1, 2014. Our Phase II goal is $150,000.00 for the costs of rehabilitation and restoration. It sounds like a lot, but together we can do it!  Do it for Muddy, do it to help preserve and spread the Blues!”   Click here to make a donation.
