Gov. Kasich: Future bright for Ohio

East-Side Chambers of Commerce are praising Ohio's efforts in making the state a more business friendly place.

Matt Van Sant, President of the Clermont County Chamber, says he's in the economic development business, creating jobs and stimulating the private sector to invest. He was happy to hear Governor Kasich's message that lower taxes seem to be turning what used to be a bad business climate around.

"So the improvements that we're making in the State of Ohio are very important to the business community and we think these are incremental ghanges that we'll look on five to ten years from now and say Wow!"

Van Sant's main challenges in Clermont County are transportation and finding a qualified workforce. Kasich, speaking at Cincinnati Milacron, says the state needs to keep innovating, training, and reducing costs for the job creators.

"And we will have a heck of a lot more jobs, a lower unemployment, healthier communities, healthier schools, healthier local governments. The more that we're able to create jobs, and produce revenue the better off we are."

Kasich says in the last two years Ohio has moved up on the business friendly list from 44 to 22.
