On the Issues: Bauman said he became a homeowner in Over-the-Rhine while Mark Mallory was mayor "because of the big things that were happening there when Mark was mayor." Mallory recently endorsed Bauman's candidacy. Bauman campaigned hard for the Cincinnati streetcar. He says he wants the city and the region to create "a multi-modal regional transportation plan." He is vice chair of All Aboard Ohio, an advocacy group supporting public transportation across Ohio. He believes in fighting poverty through good paying jobs, access to public transportation, and a strong education system that includes vocational training.
