This week has seen one major story after another in national politics, and our friend, the Political Junkie Ken Rudin, is in town to join us for Thursday's Cincinnati Edition with a live studio audience.
On Monday, Iowa voters went to their caucus sites but a series of glitches and setbacks postponed the release of the results. Although the count is still ongoing, the nation's first primary voters appear to have favored Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg, while former Vice President Joe Biden finished a distant fourth, behind Sen. Elizabeth Warrren (D-Mass.).
On Tuesday, President Trump delivered his State of the Union address - a speech that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped up on live TV as it concluded.
On Wednesday, Trump won acquittal from the Senate in his impeachment trial, but one Republican defected and voted to convict the president on one of the articles.
Cincinnati Edition is joined by Ken Rudin, Miami University Assistant Political Science Professor Rachel Blum, and WVXU Senior Political Analyst Howard Wilkinson, along with local students as a live studio audience for Thursday's show.
