"American Pickers" Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz will be heading to Ohio in October, unless detoured by COVID-19.

Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are heading back to Ohio in October to film new episodes of American Pickers – unless the coronavirus "conditions change for the worse," says their production company.

"We understand that with the proliferation of COVID-19, we are all facing very uncertain times," says a statement from Cineflix Media, which produces the show.

"We at American Pickers are taking the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and protocols for safe filming as outlined by the state and CDC. While we plan to be in Ohio in October, we will continue to re-schedule if conditions change for the worse. Regardless, we are excited to continue to reach the many collectors in the area to discuss their years of picking," the statement said.

The popular History Channel hosts, who shot here in 2017 and 2018, are looking for "leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with interesting items and lots of them," says Kourtny Myers, a Cineflix Media casting associate.

"The way we find people and collections for our show is through getting the word out so that people know we’re coming to town and can reach back out to us, so we really hope you’re able to help us in letting people in your back yards know," Myers said in an email to Cincinnati Public Radio.

American Pickers, which airs new episodes at 9 p.m. Mondays, premiered in 2010. The hosts travel the country hunting for rare finds for their Antique Archaeology stores in Nashville, Tenn., and LeClaire, Iowa.

"They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them,"  according to Cineflix publicity.

Mike and Frank will only look at private collections. They will not "go to stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public," she says.

Producers encourage those who have "a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through – or those who know of someone with a unique, interesting collection – send their name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com, or to the GotAPick Facebook page. You can also call 1-855-OLD-RUST (1-855-653-7878).
