The festival is primarily housed at the Woodward Theater, with VIP events at The Mini Microcinema, and screenplay readings at Know Theatre.

Cincinnati celebrates independent film this August in Over-the-Rhine. The Cindependent Film Festival returns for a second year with more than a 100 films from around the world showcasing at the Woodward Theatre. The three-day event, Aug. 29-31, also features live screenplay readings, musical performances and after-parties.

Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the event are Cindependent Film Festival Founder Allyson West; and Filmakers Jennifer Howd; and Daniel Mulvaney. Howd's silent documentary, 45 ½, is playing at noon on Saturday. Her screenplay, Texas Annie, is being read aloud as part of the live reading series. Mulvaney's film, Ignore the Clock, is playing in the Opening Night Shorts block.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
