President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence stand on stage during the first day of the 2020 Republican National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., Monday, Aug. 24, 2020.

President Trump will deliver his remarks on Thursday night to conclude the Republican National Convention and to accept the party's renomination.

Former Vice President Joe Biden accepted the Democrats' nomination last week during that party's convention.

Now, the race is officially on.

Both parties moved away from the pomp and circumstance of traditional presidential election years, with the COVID-19 pandemic forcing them into a virtual space. So, what could the impact be on the race as both Biden and Trump look to get a bounce heading into the fall campaign?

Meanwhile, with the shooting of another Black man at the hands of police, violence is erupting in Kenosha, Wis., and this week, it turned deadly.

Will there be a growing role for civil unrest in the run-up to Election Day?
