Hank Williams Songwriter Showcase & 70th Anniversary of Hank Williams At Herzog

Joey Allcorn Music

Hank Williams recorded four songs in the Herzog Studios for MGM on August 30th, 1949.  In honor of the 70th anniversary of these recordings, a special concert has been planned in the Herzog Studios space where those recording sessions happened.  The Hank Williams Songwriter Showcase and 70th Anniversary of Hank Williams at Herzog event will happen on Friday, August 30th, from 7-11pm.

Many songwriters who have been influenced by Hank Williams will participate including Joey Allcorn, Josh Morningstar, and Amanda Lynn.  The Hank Williams Museum will also have Hank Williams memorabilia on display that evening.

Elliott Ruther, Chief of Institutional Advancement at Cincinnati State and Co-Founder of the Cincinnati USA Music Foundation, dropped by the studio August 21st to preview this historic event with Lee Hay.  It should be noted that tickets will be very limited with only about 100 available as general admission or VIP tickets.
