The United Way of Greater Cincinnati has a new CEO: the current head of Hamilton County Job and Family Services. Moira Weir succeeds Ross Meyer, who has led the organization as interim CEO since 2018.
Weir said on Twitter she leaves JFS with sadness, but proud of her work over her 27-year career. She was named director in 2007. "This transition is an opportunity for me to continue my work around financial sustainability for families, but on a broader, more regional scale," Weir says.

Barbara Turner, Vice Chair and Chair Elect of the United Way Board says, "Moira’s commitment to community, diversity and servant leadership, paired with her ability to make a measurable impact, uniquely qualify her to lead United Way as we evolve our role and enhance our impact in the community."
Hamilton County Job and Family Services has about 850 employees. The United Way of Greater Cincinnati serves agencies in 10 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Commission President Driehaus says, "Hamilton County will miss her leadership, but we look forward to working with her in her new capacity at the United Way."
Weir's last day at JFS is in early March. She'll start work at the United Way March 23.
