Recycle e-waste and receive free Reds tickets

WVXU

If you need some added incentive to get rid of an old computer or other electronics, local recycling organizations are partnering with the Cincinnati Reds to offer tickets in exchange for your old junk.

The first 200 people at each event will receive a voucher for two free Reds tickets to an upcoming 2014 regular season Reds game. The team says more than 140,000 lbs. of electronic waste was collected during last year's drive.

A $10 per car donation is requested. The recycling company, Cohen, says, "A portion of the donation will be used to offset recycling costs. All proceeds then benefit Players for the Planet and the Reds Community Fund."

Four e-waste recycling dates are scheduled:

Thursday, May 1, 2014 - 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• PNC Bank, Colerain Township Branch, 79650 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45251
Friday, May 2, 2014 - 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
