Oscar contender “Carol” is one of the many films that have put Cincinnati on the map as a movie city. Production crews are currently here filming "Inconceivable" with Nicholas Cage and Gina Gershon. Ten movies are being produced here this year, including “The Life and Death of John Gotti” with John Travolta; “The killing of a Sacred Deer” with Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman; and Killer Films' “Mercy” with Ellen Page and Kate Mara. Other popular movies like “Rain Main” and “Ides of March” have been filmed in Cincinnati in the past.

Film Cincinnati, a nonprofit that promotes and cultivates filming endeavors in the city, connects filmmakers to local production crews and talent. Here to talk about Film Cincinnati and the short and long term economic benefits filmmaking brings to this region are Executive Director of Film Cincinnati, Kristen Schlotman, and WVXU Media Beat Reporter, John Kiesewetter.
