Next time you walk through Cincinnati, explore some of the unique and historic steps

Cincinnati is a city of hills, so, by necessity, it is also a city of steps. More than four-hundred sets of steps tie communities throughout Cincinnati together. Walking the Steps of Cincinnati: A Guide to the Queen City?'s Scenic and Historic Secrets is a revised and updated version of Mary Anna DuSablon?s original guidebook, first published in 1998. This new edition includes all new photos and a fresh set of maps to guide you on 34 scenic walking tours of the city that include interesting perpendicular public paths.? Author Connie Harell and cartographer Brian Balsley join us to explore the many steps and staircases of Cincinnati.

In 2005, Maryanne Zeleznik came to 91.7 WVXU from WNKU where she served as News and Public Affairs Director for 20 years. At WVXU she is responsible for all news and public affairs programming, hosts Morning Edition Monday through Friday, and fills in to host Cincinnati Edition. As time allows, she covers daily news, produces local features, and contributes news stories to National Public Radio.
