How Cincinnati Works Is Working To Eliminate Poverty In Our Area
About a third of Cincinnati residents and almost half of the city?'s children are living in poverty, according to the U.S. Census American Community Survey and WCPO. This number has gone up significantly in the last five years and is double that of national rates.
Nonprofit organization Cincinnati Works is trying to eliminate poverty in the Tri-State area. Using a network of job services and employer partnerships, Cincinnati Works helps individuals find employment so they can become self-sufficient and provide for their children.
