In addition to the German Embassy in Washington, DC, there are eight German Consulates General throughout the United States. Herbert Quelle is the German Consul General in Chicago. His mission is to promote German-American economic relations, give Germans advice and assistance, foster bilateral cultural relations and engage in the German-Jewish dialogue.

Consul General Quelle is in Greater Cincinnati this week to talk with local leaders and give presentations about the German roots of Zionism and the current refugee crisis in Europe. He joins us this afternoon.

The exhibit, Zionismus: The German Roots of Zionism opened to the public yesterday at the University of Cincinnati and is on display until April 14 in the foyer of the Tangeman University Center and from April 14-27 in the Max Kade German Cultural Center (Old Chemistry Building) on the 7th level.
