Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education meets Monday night to consider several proposals for fall classes. Board members are considering what safety precautions the school district will need to take with the threat of the novel coronavirus.
Three options are up for consideration, ranging from various different staggered schedules for students, to five days of classes with social distancing. There has been considerable community feedback with last Monday's public comment portion of the meeting extending for hours.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the options are Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Educationmembers Ryan Messer and Mike Moroski.

Update: At Monday's meeting the board selected a "Blended" option for fall classes. Under the Blended Option all students will attend two days of in-person classes per week or three days on alternate weeks. They will attend school remotely the other days. The students will maintain six feet of social distancing in school.
