A website which tracks Congressional money said that former U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt has failed to file a financial disclosure report that is required of members of Congress when they leave office.

Schmidt is one of 14 House members who left Congress in January to not file the termination report, according to the website Legistorm. The filings are supposed to come within 30 days of the member leaving office.

The Miami Township Republican was defeated in last spring's GOP primary by Brad Wenstrup, who went on to win the 2nd Congressional District seat in the fall.

Also on the list of those failing to file on time were two departing Ohio congressmen, Steve Austria and Steven LaTourette, Dan Burton of Indiana and Democrat Barney Frank of Massachusetts.

Schmidt's report might have shed light on any left-over legal debts that the House Ethics Committee had said she must repay. The ethics committee said she had unknowingly received $500,000 in legal services from a Turkish-American group and had to repay the money.
