The Reds will play 145 games on Fox Sports Ohio this year, starting with another Opening Day simulcast on WKRC-TV (Channel 12) on Monday, April 4.
Reds fans also will see one Fox network game on WXIX-TV (Channel 19), and two games on Fox’s FS1 cable channel this year, in the FSO TV schedule announced Thursday.
Opening Day coverage starts 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, on FSO. Six hours later, the Reds play the Phillies at 4:10 p.m. on FSO and Channel 12, says Jon Lawhead, Channel 12 general manager. FSO's Opening Day programming details will be announced at a later date, says Kate Zelasko, FSO public relations director.
Fox 19 will air the Reds at Dusty Baker’s Washington Nationals 7 p.m. Saturday, July 2.
Scheduled for FS1 are the Padres at Reds 4 p.m. Saturday June 25, and Cardinals at Reds on 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Thom Brennaman, Jim Kelch and George Grande will share play-by-play duties while working with analysts Chris Welsh and Jeff Brantley. Jeff Piecoro and Brian Giesenschlag return as “Reds Live” hosts with reporter Jim Day.
The half-hour “Reds Weekly” resumes at 6 p.m. April 13 to air every Wednesday throughout the season. Piecoro will host with former Reds infielder Doug Flynn (1975-77), a Lexington native.
