Steve Inskeep will anchor NPR's "Morning Edition" from WVXU-FM Friday, after spending several days talking to Ohio voters.
Inskeep was in Georgia last week for NPR reports on the presidential campaign in swing states, or "divided states." He will be in Ohio part of this week, in advance of the second presidential debate at 9 p.m. Sunday Oct. 9.
On Friday's broadcast, Inskeep will profile some Ohio voters – and then check back with them on Monday for their reaction to the debate.
David Greene is reporting from Arizona this week, talking to "divided states" voters before and after Tuesday's debate by vice president candidates Mike Pence and Tim Kaine.
Inskeep, 48,grew up in Carmel, Ind., and graduated from Morehead State University in 1990. He was hired by NPR in 1996, and joined "Morning Edition" in 2004. His first full-time assignment was covering the 1996 presidential primary in New Hampshire. He also covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
