Professor Lawrence Lessig Discusses The Importance Of Televised Presidential Debates

en.wikipedia.org

Harvard Law School Professor and best-selling author Lawrence Lessig made a bid for the presidency last year. He entered the Democratic primary race but soon abandoned his effort.

He has seen first-hand the nature of American politics, and believes the system is corrupt. Lawrence Lessig will be at the University of Dayton tomorrow evening to talk on The Importance of the First Presidential Debate, just five days before Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump take the stage for their first debate. We recently talked with Professor Lessig about his thoughts of our current political system and his suggestions to improve the process.

Lawrence Lessig will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Kennedy Union ballroom on the University of Dayton campus. A book signing will immediately follow. Professor Lessig is the second guest in the UD Speaker Series. For more information on the series, click here.

91.7 WVXU, 88.5 WMUB and wvxu.org will carry NPR coverage of all three presidential debates and the one vice-presidential debates. The first presidential debate happens Monday, September 26 starting at 9pm.
