ABC Renews 15 Shows, But Not ‘Castle,’ ‘Nashville’

Disney/ABC Television Group

ABC has renewed these 15 shows for fall 2016-2017 TV season:

“America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “The Bachelor,” “black-ish,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” “The Goldbergs,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Scandal,” “Shark Tank” and “Quantico.”

Missing from the list are “Castle,” “Nashville,” “The Muppets,” “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” “Dr. Ken,” “Last Man Standing”  and what else?

At the press tour in January, ABC execs said renewals of “Castle” and “Nashville” were contingent on signing the stars for another season. The fate of the other ABC shows might not be known until ABC announces its fall lineup on May 17.
