On Cincinnati Edition's weekly news review Friday at noon:

More fallout from the nuclear plant bailout legislation in Ohio that previously forced out House Speaker Larry Householder emerged in the form of a federal charge against First Energy Corp. That company will pay $230 million as a penalty after it admitted its role in bribing public officials to support favorable legislation.

Enquirer state government reporter Jessie Balmert, and Gannett politics and state government reporter Laura Bischoff join us to talk about it.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati Public Schools has not yet decided on face masks for students in the new school year, as local health officials continue to push for people to be vaccinated.

Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau reporter Jo Ingles, and WVXU reporters Cory Sharber and Becca Costello are with us for those stories as well as a look at COVID in Ohio.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
