How Cincinnati Innovation District Continued Its Progress Amidst Pandemic

David J. Adams (via University of Cincinnati)

Shortly after the launch of the Cincinnati Innovation District, which featured high profile guests like Gov. Mike DeWine, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived here and shut down much of our world. Despite the social and economic challenges bought on by the coronavirus, however, the nascent district managed to thrive anyway.

Now, the University of Cincinnati-based operation is highlighting its effort to drive economic growth in the Heartland, an unlikely place when such innovation is typically associated with the West Coast.

UC Chief Innovation Officer and head of the Cincinnati Innovation District David J. Adams joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about a wild first year, one that saw success in spite of all the challenges.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
