Coronavirus
As a new strain of coronavirus (COVID-19) swept through the world in 2020, preparedness plans, masking policies and more public policy changed just as quickly. WVXU has covered the pandemic's impact on the Tri-State from the very beginning, when on March 3, 2020, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine barred spectators from attending the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus over concerns about the virus, even though Ohio had yet to confirm a single case of COVID-19.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted will take reporters' questions Friday at 3 p.m. following the news that President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19.

Both are experiencing "minor symptoms," NPR reports

"The doctors continue to monitor both his health and the health of the first lady," White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told reporters Friday. "We'll continue to do that. They'll be glad to provide some updates later today as we look at this."

DeWine had his own coronavirus scare back in August, when he tested positive, then negative, for the virus.

If you think you have coronavirus, or have questions about the disease, Ohio's coronavirus call center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The number is 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (427-5634). More information is available at coronavirus.ohio.gov.

WVXU will carry the remarks live on-air or you can watch live below beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
