According to the Cincinnati Reds, Ryan Ludwick will have surgery Wednesday. This is to repair torn cartilage in his right shoulder suffered after sliding headfirst into third base Monday.
It was in the third inning of the opening day game against the Angels.
Ludwick will go on the 15-day disabled list and a corresponding roster move will be made before Tuesday night’s game.
