Sports Programs For Kids With All Abilities Or Special Needs

All children benefit from physical activity and the enjoyment that can come with sports and teamwork. But for those who are disabled, participating in these activities is a bit more challenging. Special needs or adapted sports programming give all kids, regardless of ability, the chance to engage in various forms of physical recreation.

The Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) offers Paralympic sporting from basketball to cycling to swimming.

Joining us to talk about how these adapted sports and forms of recreation are beneficial are CRC Therapeutic Recreation Program Coordinator Adam Ayers and the two co-coaches of the Cincinnati Dragons wheelchair basketball team, Jake Counts and Ian Lynch
