Defendent Wade Winn walks into Clermont County Court for his arraignment Wednesday.

Facing the possibility of the death penalty if convicted, 23-year-old Wade Winn pleaded not guilty in Clermont County Court Wednesday to shooting and killing a sheriff's deputy and wounding another Feb. 2.

He's charged with killing Det. Bill Brewer and wounding Lt. Nick DeRose during a standoff at his apartment in Pierce Township. Prosecutors say Winn faked killing himself and then shot the deputies through the wall when they entered the apartment.
