Cincinnati Pension Problems

The Cincinnati retirement system is in trouble, and its $870 million in unfunded pension liabilities could seriusly damage the city’s long-term viability. While there is widespread agreement the funding problem must be resolved, and soon, many local politicians and business leaders say Issue 4, the pension reform charter ammendent on next week’s ballot, is not the answer.
