Jurors in the Ray Tensing retrial will continue their work for a fifth day.
The panel will be sequestered for yet another night Thursday after about 25 and half hours of deliberating. A court official says they'll resume at 8:30 Friday morning.
In an email to reporters, the court administrator writes, "There was a question by the jury today that was reviewed in chambers by the Court with counsel present. An answer was then provided to the jury."
They were instructed last week to report on Monday with an overnight bag with clothing for two days. The court administrator says arrangements were underway to get the jurors fresh clothes.
Deliberations began Monday afternoon.
Tensing is charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter for shooting and killing Sam DuBose during a 2015 traffic stop.
This is Tensing's second trial. The first ended in November when that jury failed to find consensus after 25 hours of talks.
Jurors must consider the murder charge first. If they are unable to come to a conclusion, then they may move on to voluntary manslaughter.
