New plan looks at future of Warren County's 75 corridor

Outline of the study area.

It's not just "the area between Cincinnati and Dayton."  Fixing that lack of an identity is part of what's behind the new I-75 Area Plan being released by Warren County officials Tuesday evening.

The area's significant growth is another factor in developing the plan-- population grew 19 percent between 2000 and 2010.  It has several regional points of interest including Otterbein Retirement Community, Atrium Medical Center, Cincinnati Premium Outlets, Solid Rock Church and the Miami Valley Gaming Racino.  Planners note there's also the potential for a new equestrian center, performing arts center, sports complex and more.

The plan covers issues from economic development to  quality of life and transportation.  Among it's quality of life goals:

  • Civic buildings and cultural icons that become defining features of the community
  • A complete park system
  • An expansive trail network
  • Efficient and cost-effective public services

The plan is the result of a year-long study of an area that stretches from Turtlecreek Township to Franklin Township.  Tuesday evening's open house to unveil the plan runs from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Warren County Administration Building in Lebanon (406 Justice Drive, Room 128).
