pixaybay.com

As part of the Veterans Coming Home project, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, CET is holding a town hall meeting on August 16 to address some of the many challenges faced by US service members as they transition to civilian life.

We continue our discussion about those challenges, and the resources available to veterans and their families, with the Director of the Trauma Recovery Center at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Dr. Kathleen Chard; Clinical Psychologist and Program Coordinator for the Cincinnati VAMC Veterans Integration To Academic Leadership (VITAL) Program, Dr. Jessica Thiede; and Public Media Connect (CET andThinkTV) Executive Producer Mark Lammers.

On August 16, Channel 48 will hold a Veterans Coming Home town hall meeting at the station, which will be recorded for broadcast at a later date. For more information and to RSVP, click here. If you are unable to attend the town hall, CET will also be live-tweeting and streaming through Facebook live. Follow CET's social pages @CETconnect and use the hashtag #VetsComingHome to join in.
