A native of Dayton, Ohio, Wilkinson has covered every Ohio gubernatorial race since 1974, as well as 16 presidential nominating conventions. Along with politics, Wilkinson also covered the 2001 Cincinnati race riots, the Lucasville prison riot in 1993, the Air Canada plane crash at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in 1983, and the 1997 Ohio River flooding. Teachers' union brings pro-Obama bus tour to Cincinnati

Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), is kicking off a multi-state bus tour in Finneytown Friday - a tour aimed in Ohio at touting the re-election of President Obama and U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown.

The AFT - which represents about 1.5 million teachers nationwide - is one of the most active labor unions supporting the re-election of President Obama.

At 4:15 p.m. Friday, Weingarten - accompanied by Cincinnati Federation of Teachers president Julie Sellers - will hold a press conference in front of the bus at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 7000 Winton Road in Finneytown.

The bus will move on to stops in Toledo and Cleveland on Saturday.
