The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is engaging the same firm the Dayton Metro Library engaged for it's recent renovation and expansion to lead a similar effort.Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning out of San Francisco is the choice to draft the library's new facilities master plan.
It's expected to take 12-18 months to craft.
In the meantime, work is already underway or starting soon at several branches including Price Hill, Walnut Hills and Madisonville.
Group 4 is the same firm that led the library's listening sessions and pre-planning efforts.
Cincinnati-based Design Impact will also be involved, leading future community feedback sessions.
Voters approved a one mill operating levy in May for repairs and operating expenses.
